• Autumn Style // 1 Sweater, 2 Ways

Having a friend who owns a nice camera and loves taking pictures is something I’m thankful for. Recently, my friends, sister, and I ventured outside to a couple of different locations for a photoshoot. I’ve been wanting to do a style profile on here, and this was the perfect opportunity! I also included a couple of pictures of my friend Emma and my sister Abby because they’re super pretty! Here you have a couple of my favorite outfits. I love the layered fall look and mainly stick to neutrals in the fall and winter months. I wanted to share with you how you can dress up or dress down a simple…

  • Tip Tuesday // Treat Yourself

Often, we get caught up in the anxiety and stress of our daily lives. I like to take time and special moments to treat myself to a few of my favorite things. For me, these include a nice bath with deliciously lovely bath bombs & bubbles, a quick makeup shopping trip, an ice cream treat, browsing Pinterest & a few of my favorite blogs, or watching my favorite Netflix shows — these include Supernatural and Reign, which I recommend to all! Believe me. It’s perfectly fine and wonderful to take time to yourself. Many people of all ages in this day & age tend to be busy-bodies, never giving themselves a…

  • Wisdom Wednesday

Each second is special and yours to take. Value every moment and make the best of it. You’ll never encounter the exact same one twice. Embrace every bit — the easy, the hard, the good, the bad, the somewhere in between. Make the memories mean something important. Enjoy it all.   xoxo, KB

  • Tip Tuesday

Very simple, yet effective… Drink lots of water everyday!! Water is vital for life and offers many benefits. These include things like better skin, less calorie intake, and just making your body and psyche feel incredibly energized overall. One thing I do to aid in my hydration intake is always having a Camelbak full of ice water with me at school. Even if I don’t feel thirsty, I often surprise myself by how much my brain and body appreciate a bit of H2O!! I usually end up drinking about 2 full ones at school alone. It’s amazing how much I’ve noticed drinking water has made a difference. It’s just one…

  • Motivation Monday

Proverbs 17:22 — “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” If you’re like me, you’re needing this “good medicine” right now. Many of us are… I encourage you to focus on being a positive light this week in someone’s often dark world. Whether it be a simple smile, hug, or compliment, random act of kindness, or even a much needed listen-sesh with a friend, be open to spread positivity. You never know what someone is hiding behind their emotional curtain. Be the “good medicine” to someone today and this week…   xoxo, KB

  • A Little Something New

I want my blog to be a positive place full of things I love, things to inspire, and things to learn about. To further bring this into practice, I decided that I to change things up a bit and add a little something new… I will begin posting weekly (or daily — haven’t decided yet) little tidbits for the day. This will include things like Bible verses, inspirational quotes, positive thoughts, beauty/fashion tips, & other randomness. Like what is happening currently, the occasional long post will also be up whenever I feel motivated or have something on my mind. Just wanted to keep you all informed on what is to…

  • Finding Mr. Right

I recently found a blog post through FaceBook titled “An open letter from Mr. Right.” It really opened my eyes, ears, and heart to who I often think my “Mr. Right” could be and who I should think he could be. It starts off basically telling me that he is “no fairytale hunk” (to quote it directly), which is, honestly, what I’ve pictured my whole life. I would dream of being swept off my feet and drowning in romantic moments. I dreamed of falling hopelessly in love with my Mr. Right/Prince Charming. I wanted my love story to be as perfect as it is in every Disney movie. No matter how much I dream and…

  • Current Favorites: Beauty + Random

It’s currently about 9:15 on a Saturday night & I am listening to “Today’s Top Hits” on Spotify. It’s currently playing a bit of Drake, and, for some reason, it felt like the perfect time to write. Sometimes, I just get in the mood to write–these moments usually bring out the best posts because the content is often not forced. It just seems to flow so effortlessly from my brain, through my fingers, and onto the screen using typing methods taught by Mrs. Casey. Even if I start this article now, it may take another day to finish it, which is probably what will probably happen considering the time of…

  • Back to School /// Senior Year

It’s that time again that many dread and many enjoy… …Back to school season is upon us! I actually cannot believe how fast this summer has flown by. Part of me wishes it was still here, yet a lot of me is excited for my last year in high school (where has the time gone?) Going back to school can be scary no matter what age you are, so I wanted to give you a bit of advice/encouragement to give you a boost to be excited to get back into routine. Be Organized Your agenda will become your best friend. Be Productive Procrastination, however, is never going to be your best friend.…
